And there will be questions towards the end that you'll be 100% guessing on The NCLEX progressively asks you harder questions. Most students would probably say that SATA questions are the hardest question formats because, as the name implies, you need to find “all” the correct answers for a given question. Therefore most students reason, if I’m getting a lot of SATA questions, then I’m getting tougher questions. Don't expect to do 85 questions in an hour and be done. I was the first of a whole group of us to leave, so clearly it's not necessarily the norm to be done in an hour. You CAN pass in 145 questions. You CAN fail in 85 questions (even if unlikely). You can pass after 5 hours and you can fail after 45 minutes. Questions about how a patient should be positioned when using crutches, lots of questions about creatine clearance!!! 2 psyc questions. 2 ETHICS (negligence & sata about veracity, fidelity, benefience, etc) there was alot about PPE (doffing, donning, sterile gloves application). So much questions about rooming pts based on the infection/disease ... Stopped at 85 questions. This updated guide for 2024 includes 1,000+ practice questions, a primer on the NCLEX-RN exam, frequently asked questions about the NCLEX, question types, the NCLEX-RN test plan, and test-taking tips and strategies.Going off how the NCLEX adapts, I don't necessarily think your pass or fail was entirely dependent on that last question. I mean it certainly could've been, just not the case 100% of the time that someone goes to 145. Plus keep in mind, some people are randomly selected to go all the way to 145 questions, no matter how well you're actually doing.During this time, I graduated nursing school and passed in 75 questions in January. Due to my studying experience, I begged my mom to focus on Uworld only for her next attempt, that the problem wasn't that she didn't have the knowledge, but that she needed to conquer the difficulty of answering NCLEX style questions. The first and most important thing to understand about the NCLEX is the way that the questions work. The complexity of the questions adapts to how well you are answering them. If you answer a question correctly, then the next question will be more challenging. If you answer incorrectly, the next question will be easier. The 1# type of question you should get overall is priority type. Also alot of nclex questions have to do with safety so many questions you can eliminate choices when thinking in a safety mindset. I shall spend more time going over my notes for those areas then. And good tip on the elimination process!1. DefinitionPrimary663. • 3 yr. ago. I took the NCLEX on Tuesday. I stopped at 145 questions. Did the PVT trick and got the "good pop up". One of my nursing buddies said the pop up was accurate for him and other nursing students in my cohort. I should know if I passed today when my quick results become available. On my quizzes, I got from 50-70%, with an average in the low to mid 60%. I had just taken my second attempt on May 2nd. I waited about 4 hours and tried the trick and received the "bad pop-up". I was feeling so defeated. I couldn't imagine having to wait another 45 days to take it again. Tried it a few hours later, still got the "bad pop-up".So I took my NCLEX Thursday at 1pm. I was the unfortunate person who got all 145 questions. I was honestly in disbelief and when I got to question 130 I knew I was taking the entire exam. I am an A student with occasional Bs here and there.
